CoEd Varsity Alpine Skiing
This is where you should be able to watch the live timing results of the FMS/CCC races. Last year only one of the two courses at Shawnee was working on this site so we'll see what happens this year. The list is typically sorted my state so you'll have to scroll down a bit until you find the Shawnee Peak logo. Please remember there are often multiple races going on at the same hill so if you don't see any names you recognize you may have selected the correct mountain and date but not the correct race. If you see a DSQ (Disqualified) or DNF (Did Not Finish), please don't worry - most likely they either missed a gate, skied out of the course, or something similar. It's not a big deal.
Maine High School Skiing
As the name suggests it's all about High School skiing in Maine. Maintained by the Maine High School Ski Coaches Association, (I bet you didn't even know we existed did you?) you can find all kids of good information on here including schedules for all the High School Teams and some Middle School teams - including us. We are part of the CCC which probably stands for something (Cumberland County Conference? Carl's Cat Care? Crabs, Crawdads & Clams?) but I don't know it. Anyway, all of our race results will get posted here and if you're so inclined you can go back and look at results from prior years as well - it's really a great resource.
A Family Skiing in Maine
A site maintained by a former longtime Ski Boosters member, this site is just a fun read for everything ski related in the area. But where it becomes indispensable is every fall when it is continuously updated with all the areas Ski Swaps! It's a one stop destination to know everything about when and where to buy your gear for the upcoming season.
The Maine Principals' Association (MPA) page for all things skiing. Contains the 2019 Rule Book (with which I am surprisingly familiar with), links to minutes of the Ski Committee meetings (which can be comedy gold), and associated materials. PLEASE NOTE: The MPA only oversees High School Athletes and not Middle School ones - so while their rules technically only apply to the HS teams the MS teams all generally follow them as well.
US Ski & Snowboard
The site for the US national governing body of skiing, formerly USSA, now US Ski & Snowboard. Contains lots of information from National Team Athlete Bios to schedules and more. If you are a USSA member you have access to a simply staggering amount of information including event sign ups, drills, and even such interesting tidbits as when my CPR certificate expires! (I'm good through 11/19 if you're keeping score at home.)
FIS - Alpine
The site for the international governing body of skiing: FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski). Everything you want to know about high level racing is here.
